JCHS Students Return from Enriching Student Exchange Programme in Japan

On 4 August 2026, JPMC College of Health Sciences (JCHS) welcomed home its Student Exchange Programme participants following an enriching journey in Japan, where students gained valuable academic, clinical and cultural experiences.

Throughout the programme, the students were exposed to different aspects of healthcare and nursing education in Japan, including their visit to Jikei University. Their experiences provided opportunities to observe healthcare practices, engage with students and professionals from different countries, and broaden their understanding of nursing and patient care in an international setting.

The programme also encouraged meaningful cultural exchange. JCHS students proudly represented Brunei Darussalam by sharing aspects of Bruneian culture with fellow international participants while learning about Japanese traditions and interacting with students from Japan and other participating countries.

Beyond academic and clinical learning, the exchange provided students with opportunities for personal growth, independence and the development of meaningful international friendships. The experience allowed them to gain new perspectives that will contribute to their development as future healthcare professionals.

JCHS is proud of the students for representing both the College and Brunei Darussalam throughout the programme. The knowledge, experiences and memories gained in Japan are expected to support their continued academic and professional journey as they apply what they have learned upon returning to JCHS.
