JCHS Welcomes Maktab Duli Students for an Engaging Campus Tour

On 19th September 2024, Thursday, JPMC College of Health Sciences (JCHS) proudly welcomed students and teachers from Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah for an exciting campus visit. The visit aimed to provide the students with a comprehensive introduction to healthcare education while showcasing the dynamic learning environment at JCHS.

The day began with an introductory session, where the students were briefed on the college’s mission and the programs offered. Faculty members highlighted the pathways available in nursing, medical laboratory technology, and other healthcare fields, giving students a clear understanding of how JCHS is shaping future healthcare professionals. This session laid the foundation for an informative day, as students gained insights into the various academic and career opportunities available within the healthcare sector.

Following the introduction, students were guided through a tour of the campus. One of the main attractions was the Simulation Ward, Delivery Room and laboratories, where they were treated to fascinating live demonstrations. JCHS faculty members provided hands-on presentations, showing students how to deliver a baby, followed by practical demonstrations of treating patients in both the Simulation wards and Delivery Room. The realistic setups gave students a first-hand look at the rigors and rewards of healthcare practice.

The group then visited the Anatomy and Physiology laboratory, where they explored complex medical concepts through engaging, hands-on exhibits. This part of the tour deepened their understanding of human biology and anatomy, highlighting the critical connection between classroom theory and real-world application in healthcare.

Adding a magical touch to the day, students visited the college’s Harry Potter-inspired library. The creative space is a reflection of JCHS’s commitment to creating a captivating learning experience for its students, blending academic rigor with imaginative and interactive elements.

To mark the end of a memorable visit, each student was presented with a small gift of JCHS merchandise, while the accompanying teachers were gifted goodie bags containing college merchandise as tokens of appreciation.

It was a pleasure to host Maktab Duli at JPMC College of Health Sciences, and we hope the day was as enriching for the students as it was rewarding for us. The event reflects our continued efforts to engage with the community and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.
