EcoVision: A Successful Event on Environmental Sustainability at JPMC College of Health Sciences

On 6th November 2024, JPMC College of Health Sciences (JCHS) hosted a highly engaging event titled “EcoVision: Environmental Insights – Our Path to Sustainability.” The event, held in the Multipurpose Room on Level 7, was well-attended by students, faculty, and staff, all eager to learn more about sustainable practices and environmental preservation.

The keynote speaker, Nur Hanney Aleesa binti Ramdan, a distinguished Forestry Officer, delivered an insightful presentation that captivated the audience. She shared her expertise on sustainable forestry management and offered practical strategies for achieving a greener, more sustainable future. One of the highlights of her talk was a special segment where she showcased rare and endangered animals found in the forests of Brunei, shedding light on the urgent need for conservation efforts to protect these species.

Participants were highly engaged throughout the session, with lively discussions on the role of individuals and communities in adopting eco-friendly practices. The event provided an invaluable opportunity to broaden attendees’ understanding of sustainability while emphasizing the critical actions needed to protect Brunei’s natural biodiversity.
